What follows is a 197-page photo copy of Lewis Dunnington’s typewritten autobiography, The Light That Did Not Fail.

As he mentions in the work’s dedication, the autobiography was spurred by the energy of Lois Berry who had served as secretary for the Methodist church on Mercer Island that Lew founded after his retirement in 1960.

He hoped that the finished product would be picked up by Macmillan Publishing who had published four of his earlier books but this did not happen.
